Back in 2004, Christian, Fridtjof and Matthias spent months living and working in an old farmhouse without a penny to their name, laying the groundwork for their first company together. During this time they started building the online software that is still at the core of Jimdo. Over time, friends kept asking them to use the software for personal websites - and Jimdo was born. Now more than ever, Jimdo stands behind the concept of Pages to the People!

The Jimdo web builder has been around since 2007, helping put over 6 million JimdoPages online, including over 100,000 online stores. Jimdo is available in eleven languages, and the company has employees in San Francisco, Hamburg, Shanghai, and Tokyo.
